One of the Birthmarks of a Believer is that you Love!

As we head out beyond the schooling years what challenge do I have for you today as a Christian.
What can be encouraging
What can be convicting
Bio - Ann Fred Ayers Pastor of Walnut Creek Baptist Church since 1999
Former Engineer prior to that for 17 years
Ann and I have been married for 38 years
We have 4 children all homeschooled
Trisha - Pastor Wife and High School math Teacher Columbus OH (6 children ; two adopted
Joe - CPA working in the Tech Sector in SF - (married no children)
Colleen - Chemist working for Pharmaceutical Firm (two Children) lives outside Philadelphia
Sarah - CPA internal auditor for fortune 500 company (two children) lives in Charlotte NC
What I am going to talk about is what instilled in them while they were in my home.
Two areas Love and Learn
The first is spiritual

3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, And of thy wondrous works.
Parents you have to love you graduate by letting them go and even fail
You job is over
You still have influence
You still have a voice
Hopefully, what have instilled in them will resonate
Love them by letting them go
Financially
Relationship wise
Decision wise
Allow them to make their own decisions and possibly fail
It time to turn them over to God

Love God -
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Spend time with Him - devotions
Get to know Him better -
Make God of the bible you God make it personal
Love Others - Serve

Have grace
Be willing to take the wrong
Invest in others - youth group leaders becoming leaders
Make a difference -
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
So much here just love your neighbor .....
Keep you integrity
tell the ruth
let you yea be yea and your nea be nea
What you temper
Stay away from slander
What good is Christ if you are not heard
“We have to earn the right to be heard”
Love God and Love Your neighbor
Have an accountability partner .......

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Learn and keep Getting to know God better
Invest into career
most will have jobs soon
study for improvement
Walmart - stockman or a farmer
ask questions keep learning
You learning never ends
Graduated from Aubun University 1982 - still reading and learning
Two interns
One barely graduated Bible college - would do what ever it took
Wiped tables , set up chairs, constantly studying and learning about the ministry
Now Pastor a church in Ohio of 400
2nd would just do the minimum
would waith for a check list - now works as a fireworks manager
Read and learn - Harry S. Truman said, “not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.”
You will be influenced by the books you read and the people you associate with
Have Goals
have a budget
If you have a dream find a way to monetize it
A learner is teachable
A leaner is willing to help
A learner accepts others mistakes
A learner is humble
