The Discard of Love v.2

She had turned away from her husband. She had found in someone else the relationship and comfort that was her husbands responsibility to provide.

The Departed Blessings. v.3

When she left her love she brought upon herself the loss of the very things she was seeking to poses.

The Disgrace of Sin. v.4,5

The choices that she made would cause irreparable damage to her children.

The Depravity of the Mind. v.7

She still only showed concern for herself. Sin will always cause a mindset of selfishness and vanity.

The Destruction, Brought by our Choices. v.11,12

For the child of God their is always judgement awaiting the end of our sin. For the unrepentant sinner there awaits hell.

The Deliverance of God. v.14

In v.3 she was threatened with, and no doubt feared the wilderness. No God is using the thing she feared to supply the desires of her heart.

The Design of Marriage v.16,17

Ish’i means; Strength. Bå’-åli means: Lord.
God was rightfully the Lord of Israel yet He desired to viewed as their strength. That is he wanted their trust in Him to be their force of motivation, more so than their fear of Hos judgement.
As Husbands and wives we should desire to be the strength of our spouses not a burden to hide from.

The Dismissal of Judgement. v.21-23

We find that God displayed unmerited mercy. We will not always have a perfect relationship with our spouse, children, co-workers, family, or friends. However we should always be quick to forgive and slow to anger, for loves sake, and for the sake of the gospel.
