Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
REACHING CRITICAL MASS
REACHING CRITICAL MASS
The Difference Between Commitment And Surender
The Difference Between Commitment And Surender
What is the difference between commitment and surrender? When you make a commitment, you are still in control, no matter how noble the thing you commit to. One can commit to pray, to study the Bible, to give his money, or to commit to automobile payments, or to lose weight. Whatever he chooses to do, he commits to. But surrender is different. If someone holds a gun and asks you to lift your hands in the air as a token of surrender, you don’t tell that person what you are committed to. You simply surrender and do as you are told.
Many never reach critical mass because they are only willing to make a commitment and no a surrender.
Critical mass - is the point at which a growing company becomes self-sustaining, and no longer needs additional investment to remain careful and efficent use.
The term critical mass is borrowed from nuclear physics, where it refers to the smallest mass that can sustain a nuclear reaction at a constant level.
Not able to reach critical mass because we chose not to is what plague the unbeliever and many believer who refuses to give their all to Jesus Christ no matter the cost.
The Life of Gideon
And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
1. Just as God call Moses He is now calling Gideon.
2. As the Lord is calling Gideon He is also calling you and I in such a time as this.
3. Gideon is about to reach critical mass, by trusting in God being self sustained through faith in God.
4. Gideon trust in himself and his abilities.
5. God sees something in Gideon that Gideon can not see in himself. You must see beyond the place (Of Oppression) where you sit.
6. The usual threshing-floor is in an exposed place: the winepress is a shallow pit in the ground, from which the grape-juice runs into two deeper vats.
7. They were hiding from the enemy, or you hiding this morning.
8. Tell the story........
Judges 6:24 (KJV)
24 Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom. (Peace).
9. With 300 men......
The Life Of Paul
The apostle Paul reach critical mass in his walk with God, so can you.
Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
No matter what we have done, we are nothing without Christ in our life.
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
As John Baptist said, I must decrease and He must increase.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
When we no need additional investments all we need is God in order to reach critical mass. My life is sustained in God 24-7.
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
William Booth’s Secret to Success
William Booth’s Secret to Success
General William Booth was once asked to reveal the secret of his success. After some hesitation, tears came to his eyes and he said, “I will tell you the secret. God has had all there was of me. There have been men with greater brains than I have, men with greater opportunities, but from the day that I got the poor of London on my heart and caught a vision of what Jesus could do with them, on that day I made up my mind that God should have all of William Booth there was. “It was this which led Dr. J. Wilbur Chapman, the questioner, to remark, “I learned from William Booth that the greatness of a man’s power is the measure of his surrender.”
