Part 3: Why Isn’t Life Fair?

John 16:33

1.) Perhaps It’s Because This World Is Troubled.

John 16:33, “…In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

2.) Perhaps It’s Your Own Fault.

Galatians 6:7-8, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction.”

3.) Perhaps God’s Got Something BetterPlanned For You.

John 9:3, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” Jesus said, “but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.”

4.) [Without A Doubt] God Is Trying To Help You Mature.

James 1:2-4, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete.”

Psalm 103:10, 12, “God does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities... for as far as the east is from the west, so far has our God removed our transgressions from us.”
