Disciples, that is True Followers, Converts, Believers in Jesus are not be Take on the role of “god” and become judgmental, but we are also NOT to be without DISCERNMENT.

Matthew 7:6 NLT
6 “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
Matthew 7:6 ESV
6 “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
“Do Not Give” is a strong imperative here, not a suggestion. It is equal in force to “judge not” in verse one.
The Gospel, “the pearl of great price” is to be freely given, but at times we are to “shake of the dust” of a “house or town” when they rebel or refuse
What is Holy always belongs to God - thus, we are to be careful with what God has vested into our care and make sure it is not like taking the sacred offering meat and offering it to ravenous or wild dogs, nor taking a string of beautiful pearls and throwing them before swine.
The ravenous and the domesticated both can be offered inappropriate food… that is we take what is Holy and offer it as consumption to a rebellious and disinterested world.
This is the ultimate lesson on DISCRIMINATION. Not the rejection of a person based on immutable God-given characteristics, but rather, making sure that our lives are one of separation.
First, not taking God’s Place in Judgment
Second, not taking the Holy things of God and treating them as common or with an indiscriminate concern and thus tossing them to the ravenous and profane for whom they are “inappropriate” food.
Jesus told his Disciples in one case that his “food” or “meat” was to DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER. This is Holy, Godly, Obedient. The Great work of the Cross could not be handled by the ravenous nor the profane.
It is time for Believers to 1) Leave Judgment in God’s Hands, and 2) make sure we are not letting the sacred work of the Gospel, Worship, Fellowship and Ministry be devoured by the ravenous and/or profane who see little true benefit in Holiness and Godliness.
