Twas the day after Christmas and all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse

The stockings that hung by the chimney with care

Were flung on the floor, midst the gifts here and there

The children were rising, their eyes all were red

They’d been early to rise and then late to bed.

With Elaine soundly sleeping, I was in a light nap

I stirred to the sound of some ugly Christian rap
