Your Faith Cannot Fail

We may fail but your faith cannot fail
You may give up but your faith will continue to work indefinitely if you do not shut if off
What we call a faith failure is really us giving up on God. Faith cannot fail!
Matthew 17:20 (NKJV) So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Correctly understood and developed and applied, your faith can literally move a mountain!

Your Faith is The Same as God’s Faith

Romans 12:3 (NKJV) For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
God has allotted or distributed a measure of faith for every person every born
Like all God’s gifts, His faith must be received by you. This occurs when we are born again.
The faith you were born again with came from God into your heart
The faith you live by today is a measure of the same faith God uses everyday
Mark 11:22 (NKJV) So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
“Have” means to possess, own, be in control of, hold fast, or keep
The English word “in” does not appear in the original text. “possess/own faith God”
Jesus is encouraging us to possess and hold fast the faith that God has, the only true faith

How To Receive God’s Faith

Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith is in God’s Word. His Word contains His faith. Hearing His Word brings more faith into your heart
Faith transfers from God to your heart as you hear what He says
God distributed the initial measure of faith when you were born again, and He sends more faith every time you hear His Words
It is impossible to get more faith without hearing God’s Word
Hearing refers to more than physical sound waves in your ears. It refers to your spirit perceiving and believing the truth
Reading, Bible study, listening to sermons, praying in tongues, and worship are all ways you can “hear” from God

Jesus Prayed For Your Faith Not To Fail!

Luke 22:32 (NKJV) But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Satan is after every believer. If Jesus prayed that WE would not fail, the devil could accuse God of using His power to protect us unfairly or illegally
By praying for your FAITH to not fail Jesus makes it fair and legal. Only those who believe and obey completely can walk in this level of unfailing faith
Even though your faith cannot fail, the devil is an expert at beating us up so we quit on God and stop applying our faith.
The devil knows your faith cannot fail so he works extra hard to make you quit using your faith against him.

Your Faith Can Grow

We begin with a measure of faith at salvation and our faith grows as we hear and do His Word
Our faith must grow until we can operate and minister and serve completely in faith
Our faith must grow to enable us to receive the promises and destiny God has planned for us

Some Believers Have No Faith

Mark 4:40 (NKJV) But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”
Question 1) WHY are you so FEARFUL? They had just been delivered from death by drowning by an act of faith
They have been in the personal presence of THE WORD OF GOD and yet allowed fear to drown their faith
Question 2) How is it you have no faith? Jesus expects us to have faith when faced with fear!
Fear cancels faith. When we allow fear to affect our thinking and our words, we are unable to use our faith.
Kenneth Copeland says “FEAR TOLERATED IS FAITH CONTAMINATED”
Jesus is not saying they have zero faith. He is warning them that we must dominate the fear and choose to walk by faith during the storms of life

Some Believers Have Little Faith

Matthew 8:26 (NKJV) But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
The same story as in Mark 4:40 but Matthew records it as “little faith”
Little faith is however much faith you let go of when you let the fear overwhelm you
Little faith is never enough faith. Little faith is a marker on your faith journey but should be a level of faith you grow through, not live at
Matthew 14:31 (NKJV) And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Doubt also kills faith! Doubt is wavering between two opinions
Peter walked on the water by faith! He heard and obeyed the Word “Come”. Then he doubted

Some Believers Have Great Faith

Luke 7:9 (NKJV) When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”
The centurion was a heathen Roman soldier, not a Jewish believer, yet he had more faith than any Jew!
Why did Jesus say his faith was great? Read vs 7 “Say in a Word and my servant shall be healed”
Matthew’s account (Matt 8:8) says “Speak the Word only, and my servant shall be healed.
One reason we do not have great faith is our mouth is filled with words that have fear and doubt and unbelief and anger and selfishness in them
We must learn to “speak only what God said about the situation, not our opinion” to have great faith
The centurion understood that God’s Word alone will produce whatever God said!
When we insist on acting on God’s Word as if it was true, Jesus calls your faith great!

Your Faith Can Grow!

2 Thessalonians 1:3 (NKJV) We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,
Any believer can enjoy their faith “growing exceedingly” by hearing and obeying God
Mark 4:24–25 (NKJV) 24) Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25) For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
