The Lexham English Bible Chapter 11

11 Now faith is the realization of what is hoped for, the proof of things not seen.

This morning I invite you to come on a spiritual hike, a walk of faith. But it will not be “make believe” , a figment of our collective imagination — We want to look at “present fact” or “the realization” or “the proof” (evidence) of what is for real!!

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life...”

Pilate asked, “What is truth?”

Jesus made an astounding claim, HE IS TRUTH!!

Listen to His words to Pilate that conversation with that would stick with Pilate to the day He died.

“You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.”

Jesus is a deluted, fool or He is what He claims to be.

I do not want to play games — definately not word games

but one word that was not in my vocabulary, but has been added to it --- quiddity

it is not a word in my spell checker on my computer

But it is in the online dictionary...

Quiddity

In scholastic philosophy, "quiddity" (/ˈkwɪdɪti/; Latin: quidditas) was another term for the essence of an object, literally its "whatness" or "what it is".

Quiddity is truth --- what really is!!! Belief is what a person has about something or someone but quiddity is what it really is!!!!

This brings us to the title for today “This Is For Real!” this is Quiddity - what really is! ---- this is the truth

Did you hear in Jesus’ words to Pilate — “I was born, My cause has been to reveal or bear witness to “quiddity”

Jesus came into this world to bear witness to what really is — the truth --- He said, everyone who is of the truth hears My voice

- everyone or anyone who is listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit recognizes My voice

there is solid truth quiddity!

Satan is the source of lies, confusion like Pilate many are asking what is truth? What is real and what is only a movie // fairytail // imaginary feeling

Question? Can a person be sincere and dead wrong? a person I care about said “both positions seem right ...”

John 1:1-14 lights every man that comes into the world

Everyone no exceptions is given a light / a beacon that leads to God and eternal life “everyone who is of the truth...”
