Intro: Many of us say that we live by faith, that we have faith in God to do what He says He will do. But when it comes time to answer that call, to live that life that He calls us to live we fail to completely trust Him. It is hard for us to depend on Him to take care of us. To trust that HE will provide for our needs.

I. Haman's plot was told to Esther Vs. 1-9

A. Mordecai was fearful for the Jews and was Mourning Vs. 1-3
Since most people of this time period owned very few sets of clothes, this action took on great significance. This seems to have been the most commonly practiced form of visible mourning in the ancient Near East. Ezekiel 27:30; Isaiah 58:5
B. Esther grieved and sent clothes and inquires of Mordecai Vs 4-5
Her object in doing so was either to qualify him for resuming his former office, or else, perhaps, of fitting him to come near enough to the palace to inform her of the cause of such sudden and extreme distress.
She is wanting to know why is he in Mourning and to let her know what needs to be done.
C. Modecai informs the Eunuch of the plot and pleads to Esther. Vs 6-9
Mordecai must be considered as imploring rather than commanding her, in the name of her brethren and in the name of her God, to make a direct appeal to the feelings of her royal husband
Should we not Plead to Christ for Help in a bad situation? Philippians 4:6; Psalms 86:6

B. Mordecai tell her just because she is queen doesn't protect her from the decree. Vs 13-14
Haman’s decree called for the death of all Jews (3:13), which meant that if Esther’s lineage was discovered, it would demand her execution
If Esther holds her tongue and says nothing then, God will provide another.
Perhaps Esther were made queen for just such a time as this? Are made for such a time as this? Romans 8:28

III. Esther makes a Choice Vs 15-17

A. Esther asks for prayer Vs 15-16
Asked for them to fast and pray Ezra 8:23, Nehemiah 1:4
What does prayer and fasting do? Does it really help with issues? Daniel 9:23
B. To truly trust the Lord and have Faith in him
Esther trusted the teaching of Lord and new, with out question that God had placed her in this position for this time!
Has God brought you to a place where you know that you are the person for the Job?
Conclusion:
To understand that we are all fast with choices in our lives, but the choices we make or do’t make always affect those around us whom we love. To choose to not do something is still making a choice. Whom this day you will serve?
