There are only 3 things that taste good: Salt, Sugar, Fat
Food Trivia:
Which cookie is the Highest Selling Cookie in the world & has over $2 Billion in total sales annually???
You know why? It has all three of those things as it’s main components!
Over the years, I’ve had people ask me for nutritional advice, & sometimes accountability. But sometimes they feel like it’s just too tiresome or complicated to think about & track.

So my new approach is very simple - it consists of ONE 4-word question that tells you everything you need to know for dietary counseling:

DID YOU LIKE IT???

If you liked a food, chances are it was “bad for you”
Our taste “database” has been corrupted where we are looking for water, but we know food has water, so we eat instead of drink water.
There are 3 components in the world (eyes, flesh, pride)

People (I/WE) sin because they like it! It’s enjoyable

If you liked a sin, it’s because there was something that tasted good to you.
We sin because we are looking for something like joy, but we have found enjoyment in sin when we are looking for JOY!

It’s a cheap substitute (like Safeway Cola versus “The Real Thing”)

If we reprogram our taste, we will, for instance, learn that when we are craving salt, we can find what we are looking for in celery & can start to turn to that instead of potato chips

If we reprogram our spiritual taste, we can turn to righteousness instead of iniquity.

Hebrews 1:9 AMP
9 You have loved righteousness [You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, [even] Your God (Godhead), has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond Your companions.

If you want to be anointed by God, you have to get rid of sin!

God can’t and won’t partner with sin!

How Do We Start to Get rid of Sin?

Most of us don’t HATE SIN - We hate getting caught & We hate the consequences of Sin…but we don’t Hate Sin!
When we HATE SIN, sin is not tempting to us anymore!!!
Story of George Bush & Broccoli

We have to learn to change our taste.

Do we have a taste for the world?

James 4:4 HCSB
4 Adulteresses! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the world’s friend becomes God’s enemy.

Developing a new Hunger & desire database:

Matthew 5:6 NKJV
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

What causes Cravings & Hunger???

Energy Expenditure - doing ; Constantly Talking & thinking about something to the point of fixation
I just want to be so hungry for God & His presence that I want to be WHEREVER that is - not just the popular or scheduled spots - I’ll go where no one else is if Jesus is going to be there!!!
John 2:17 NKJV
17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”
Psalm 122:1 NKJV
1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
1 John 5:3 AMP
3 For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous).
Psalm 84:10 NKJV
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Let’s Ask God for a Brand New Heart:

Ezekiel 36:26 NKJV
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Psalm 51:10–12 NKJV
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
