Proverbs 16:9 KJV 19009 A man’s heart deviseth his way: But the Lord directeth his steps.
There are many plans in man’s heart, but God determines which plans are carried out.
Proverbs 16:10 KJV 190010 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: His mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
This is interesting. Apparently, the king’s MOUTH (as well as his heart) is in God’s hand. Therefore, every judgment a man makes while in a place of authority is order by God, whether good or evil.
2 Chronicles 35:20–21 KJV 190020 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him. 21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
Josiah felt it was his duty as vassal to the Assyrians, to help them in their fight against Egypt. However, this was not Josiah’s fight. The king of Egypt was right, what business did the king of Judah have with the king of Egypt? (The Church is always engaging in wars/struggles that don’t concern them.) Besides, the king of Egypt received a commandment from God to wage war against the Assyrians.
2 Chronicles 35:22 KJV 190022 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
We see that when kings engage in war or whatever decisions they make while in office, if it is spoken from their mouth, God has authorized it.
