What is happening when you let His Word sink in?
Hebrews 4:12 NASB95
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Recap:
Did you feel like a slave to negative thoughts?
Share if that has changed or not yet.
Are you at any of these stages?
Stages of the sword piercing:
Denial, not willing to look, look how this applies to others instead,
Confusion, others may see it and you get confused, that is not me,
Sober, humble, shock, sorry, here is where you see your impact on others and yourself and God.
Grief, heart hurts because what it thought it was is not what you projected
Filling, You fill with His love, others love, dont leave this too early, let Him really fill you. Clarity and even more WORD.
Activate, Step out as if that is true already, pour out to others, stepping out in faith. If we stop in any of these stages then we wont be able to stand firm.
Ask God to give you a song or prophecy that helps his word sink in you?
Declaring His Word will renew your mind to become the mind of Christ, and in turn, you will become a manifestation of His Word.
When you focus on the things of God and His word to you, your life becomes empowered in your body, soul, and spirit.
I am Brave Heart.
I am a head of a house who is a scribe drawing out treasures of things ancient and things new.
I am His living Word made flesh and I will inspire, and empower others to become His Living Word.
Use Your Sword
How do use the sword in our daily life?
Ephesians 6:16–17 NASB95
16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Shield of Faith
What protects you is your trust, connection, relationship with God. You trust that connection more then anything else you see coming your way.
Example:
Brian Johnson had a break down. He told his kids “this is when God becomes real”.
Flaming arrows
Something with no power behind it appears could take you out could kill you.
When something does not work.
You are not enough
You are ugly or an idiot
You will never beat this
You will never be understood.
If you look at these arrows
Helmet of salvation
A hard sure protection of what should have killed you.
You remember the times Jesus saved you.
You remember the times Holy Spirit guided you.
Sword of the Spirit
The Word of God in your life.
The promises of God.
The meaning you give those words from God.
How do we use the sword?
Declare the word with your mouth.
The word of God is not just words it is meanings you give those words.
Will power will only get you so far, and besides that is no fun.
Do you have something you dont do in your life that you know is bad for you?
Do you ever say it is bad for you?
Example:
Drinking, drugs, lying
What about what is good for you?
Do you ever say it is good for you?
Example:
Learning, working out, giving, praying, giving unconditional love, praying in tongs, reading the bible...
Story:
I know a story of young teenage boy who was deemed unteachable.
Doctors and psychologists told him he was dyslexic and will never learn the way other people learn.
He met with someone who did not buy that lie.
He asked him what his favorite thing in life was. He said surfing.
He asked How did you LEARN how to surf?
He kept using the word learn while he was talking about what he love. Sure enough he began to associate joy with learning. He imagined a school for teaching surfing. Now he is really excited and now associates joy with teaching and school.
He went from believing he cant learn to knowing he can not only learn but he could teach.
He did this by changing the meaning he gave to learning and declaring with his mouth the truth while in a state of bing in joy.
Take up the whole armor of God.
Ephesians 6:14–15 NASB95
14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
How do you use your sword?
You use your sword by changing the meaning you give the things that happen to you.
You use your sword by telling life and others who you are.
You use your sword by using your mouth and actions to show that meaning is true.
Isaiah 49:2 NASB95
2 He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.
This guy Isaiah knows he is to use his mouth like a sharp sword and He is in Gods hand or shot from His bow.
He knows He is God’s secret weapon.
Challenge:
Interrupt with pulling out your sword.
Closing:
How do you use your sword?
Recognize what you are the Sword of God in His hands and declare with your mouth the truth.
You use your sword by changing the meaning you give the things that happen to you.

Philippians 4:8–9 NASB95
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
