we're going to read about the body of Christ in the the many members of many parts tonight, but I guess before I read this. I want to stress one one point and I'll probably stress it a couple of more times as we read word the word tonight but in the body of Christ. You don't get anything else. I want you to get this. as a matter of fact the way that Jesus is thinking is the less something sometimes appears actually the greater it it really is. the way he thinks and

and I find it real interesting and I want you to do when you go home you get time with you go back and read the first 11 verses of this same chapter because it talks about the fruits of the spirit. Are they not the fruit with the gifts of the Spirit? And this actually shouldn't we shouldn't do this this whole chapter in one read one reading one teaching but but tonight we're going to look at the second half of this chapter. But these verses fall right after the the versus do talkin about the gifts of the Spirit. What God's word reads in 1st Corinthians 12 and 12. It begins its it is far as the body is one. Please tell me about our fleshly body. Zia's and it has many members and all the members of that one body being many. Or one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body? Whether we be Jews or Gentiles and we touched on that in Sunday school this morning whether we be Bond or free. And have been made and have been all made to drink into one spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say because I am not the hand. I am not of the body. It is therefore not of the body and if they are shall see because I'm not there. I am not of the body is it therefore not of the body if the whole body where am I? Where were the hearing or where would the hearing be? If the whole we're hearing where were the smelling? But now has God sent the members every one of them in the body as it has pleased not us, but he know and if they were all one member, where were the body but now or they many members yet, but one body and I cannot say unto the eye and I have no need of the Nord in the head to the feet. I have no need of you named much more of those members of the body would seem to be more feeble are and I love the word. He uses necessary. Let me read that one more time much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble are necessary in those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable up on these. We bestow more abundant honor. And he said, you know, he he says he said you got different parts to this thing. He said but but they're not and they might play an individual role what they're still one body in the end. That's true. We I got a right hand or actually, I got two left hands I think but I got a pair of Thieves pair eyes Perry years that works really good a man and in all too often. I never I mean, I mean when when friends was preaching my starting tonight, I didn't sit there and say, okay eyes. Those things don't always come easy. They have to work for those things and and some some physical impairments or are.

They're there and you can't tell you if you take a person that that has no eyesight.

They can't get out and go function like you and I do right you take a person that What is paralysis or whatever the case maybe that maybe he's in a wheelchair or or people are born with deformities, but don't make no mistake about it and God told Moses what he said, who do you think made him that way? He said I did a men and I promise you they will not be that way in glory. Amen, and so when you take someone like that it even though the desire may be there. If they can't they just can't do certain things the way that you and and I do and and I don't mean to bring us down and make us sad but I'm I'm trying to remind us or trying to show us tonight when we get in the word here. This is this is this is part of this message that he's trying to get a get across and there's a reason that he that he's trying to get it across and it's not so much the physical message as it is the message of the body of Christ or the mission of the church and I love what he says here when you talk about this body. Justice, justice. Our fleshly body has many different parts that work together to accomplish something. So does those in the church? And in our I said before we ever got started there are no insignificant parts or people amen and in and I don't know. I don't know how many people I've talked to you in my life within a church house that feel like they don't contribute in it all I just sit over here and do my little part and and I'm not really important and that is so far from from the truth so far from the truth and when he would get in there, he he brings it out like this. He said now, let's consider the body. He said if all the members were eyes. He said how could you hear he saw her too? Or if all the members were ears. You're going to hear good but where would be how would you be able to smell? Or taste I think might have been the word to use and in so when we get to thinking about now, we ask the question about the ability of the church to function correctly and properly. because if the church is missing it's hearing. If the church is missing its eyesight if the church is missing its smell. Well now it becomes somewhat handicap when in itself the Church of Christ. Jesus would never be handicapped. Okay, I understand where you saying that but I'm also say this right here. I know as a young Christian, I was determined. To just simply be a spectator. And I belong to his church. I'm not saying that church that they're 20 minutes thumb spinning its Wheels waiting on me, but I will say this once I am rest who I was in Christ Jesus and the role. I played in the body of Christ. Guess what? I can't say the defeating hands were working. Right but I know the eyes ears in the nose work because I realized who I was in that body of Christ and I stepped up to the plate he made mention in there that he's the one that place is each one where they go as it pleases him and then he drives home the point where he says and for those things that you think are insignificant are or are not honorable. He said actually those or more on them, you know, the best way to look at that is when you look at a professional sports team

Who gets the glory? is quarterback is the running back?

That's the ones that that get all the glory the low-fat line when they don't ever get their name called. They don't know. I mean, I mean the the guy that snaps the ball The Long Snapper do any of you ever know. I'll ask you right now. Can you remember one Long Snapper that ever played the game? Was he important? extremely And if and if you're not careful.

You even want to talk and feather me when I say this, but if you and I don't become careful. Then then as Christians will tend to eyeball the quarterback of the running back spiritually speaking and over and over. Look. These are the parts in the whole time. He said in the world that every one of them play such a huge role in every one of them has a special calling and every one of them a man works works in accordance with you and I and in the whole the whole message in these strippers right here is is that when the the body of Believers comes together each one in their place and in words together, amen and holds together that the job that they can accomplish going forward for the cause of Christ is is immeasurable a man is unfathomable. I mean it it can it can you can scale mountains it can cross Wine Valley. I don't know what you guys are you even here tonight accomplish such wonderful thing. when we all realized we are in this thing together scripture is it not only that but you've got to be so in tune with each other that when one of you is down the other one feels it And when one of you is up the other one rejoices over it in and I Lord Lord forever. Forgive me book in the animal going to tell you why. Because my brother busybody. There's so much going on that most of the time he all he can see is what's going on with him.

The Lord is Lord, please with that and not with me. And he lets me and he lets me know that and and and it it's brother Robert he's as as a leader in the church. First off. I promise you I ain't no more important than than than anybody else and as a leader in the church you worry so much. about not helping someone took to grow in MN to be that hand or that food or or that I wear that ear you weren't so much about holding somebody back you worry so much about standing in someone's way. Am I the handicap?

What does the Lord tell you I think sometimes it depends on where I'm at in my commitment with him? You know, I'm going to tell you one thing about the Lord. Is most of the time when you ask him a question, you've answered it when you ask him.

And that he look at me and say where you want me to tell you. And I'm like, what are you I want you to tell me I want you to tell me what the reason you don't answer your own question. Why you coming to me with that what you're my pastor is a timely fashion. I love you, but you already know what to do.

If I'ma die my job is to see I'm a near my job is still there, hand. My job is to grab some and harm. My job is to reach if I'm a foot. My job is to step if I'm a leg my job is to walk.
