Have You Lost Your Mind
16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name!
Introduction:
How many of you remember your mother or grandmother or someone in your family saying “Have You Lost Your Mind?” It usually comes after you have done something crazy or said something inappropriate!
I remember my mother saying to me - right before she was about to strike with the belt or something saying “Have You Lost your Every-loving mind?”
That’s when I realize things was about to go down!
And Yes! I had lost my mind
“It’s Necessary to Lose Your Mind”

Let’s find out why!
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
Paul said When I first came to you , I didn't try to impress you with polished speeches or the latest philosophies or the newest wisdom strategies to tell you God’s message.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
He said For I decided that I would speak only of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross. - Let me keep this plain -
I going to tell you first about Jesus and who he is;
then Jesus and what he did for you and me and then - Jesus being crucified.
3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling.
How do I tell people who believe they know everything, about someone who died and gave them a chance to have everything?
I was unsure of how to go about this, and felt totally inadequate—I was scared to death, if you want to know the truth!
4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.
But the Message comes through anyway. It is God's Spirit and God's power that always does it. It is the Holy Spirit’s power in my words, proving to those who hear the sermon - that what was said was from God.
You Can’t hear from God unless you lose your mind
5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
You have to lose your mind so that your faith will stand firmly on God, not on man’s ideas, the latest pop culture, the latest get rich quick scheme, the latest popular belief system! brought to you by me or anyone else.
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
He said when I talk to mature Christians - those that have Lost Their Minds - we talk about wisdom, but it’s not the kind that comes from here on earth, and not the kind that appeals to the peoples flesh - because that worldly wisdom for worldly people will cause destruction! Watch those high-priced experts and the wisdom that they bring - that stuff will be out-of-date in a year or so.
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
We speak God's wisdom! That wisdom goes deep into explaining God’s purpose. The Good News Of Jesus Christ
This isn’t surface stuff! It's not the latest message, but this is an old message! It’s the way God determined to bring out his best in each of us, way before we got saved
25 Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time.
26 But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him.
You Must Lose Your Mind To Understand The Good News Of Jesus Christ
8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
The people in leadership in this world don’t understand it - or they wouldn’t keep crucifying Jesus!
They wouldn’t let prayer be taken out of schools!
The church would not be experience such a backlash by our young people!
The denominations would not be so divided
The would understand God’s eternal plan
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
4 For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.
You Need to lose you Carnal Mind to understand this:
No one's ever seen or heard anything like this, Never so much as imagined anything quite like it— What God has arranged for those who love him.
God has a plan for those who love him!

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
But we know about these things because God has sent his Spirit to tell us, and his Spirit searches out and shows us all of God’s deepest secrets.
Those who have lost their minds have seen and heard it because God through the Holy Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you and me in our Spiritual Mind.
The Holy Spirit, does not talk to us about just surface stuff, He dives into the deep things of God, and brings out what God planned for each and every one of us
The spirit talks to us about Love, Joy, peace, patience, overcoming, victory, worship, praise, healing, deliverance, forgiveness, marriage, money, family, heaven, hell, discipleship, communion, fellowship, death and life here and eternally!
If you don’t lose you worldly mind you will not have the capacity to understand what God has planned for your life
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
Paul say’s no one knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? And no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.
God - he not only knows what he's thinking, but he lets us in on it.
God has given us his Holy Spirit (not the world’s spirit) to tell us about the wonderful free gifts of grace and blessing that he has for each and every one of us
But you have to lose your worldly mind and receive the mind of the Holy Spirit to understand the fulness of the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us.

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Even in telling you about the blessings God has for us - the words were given by the Holy Spirit, not words that I might have chose as a man! So I am using the words the Holy Spirit gives to explain why you need to lose your carnal mind!
Here’s the challenge:
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But people who don’t have a spiritual mind can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit.
The Worldly mindset , just as it is by nature, can't receive the gifts of God's Spirit. There's no capacity for them. The things of God seem unrealistic, not relevant, not applicable, old school, not meant for today, craziness!
Spirit can be known only by spirit—God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion.

15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
When my Spiritual Mind is Alive , I have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by worldly or unspiritual critics.
When you lose your worldly mind and operate in your spiritual man - your insight into everything, bothers and baffles the people in the world! They can’t understand him at all.
They don’t understand when they knock you down - you keep getting up , because the Spirit has told God’s fighting this battle!
They don’t understand - why you don’t go off when people misuse and abuse and do all matter of evil towards you, because they don’t understand your hope is always in the Lord Jesus Christ! They don’t understand - being led by the spirit!
16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
The worldly mindset can’t comprehend - How could it?
The worldly mind has never been one to know the God’s thoughts, or to discuss them with him, or to move the hands of God by prayer.
But, strange as it seems, we as Christians as believers actually do!
We have the very thoughts and mind of Christ.because we have the Holy Spirit and the mind of Jesus Christ!
Lose your mind and
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
