Here Paul wants the Christians in Corinth to see the grace of God at work. Paul has nothing to hide. Paul says that all his words and actions flow from the grace of God. Paul has a clear conscience. He behaves with simplicity and godly sincerity. He is able to do the work God called him to do. Paul knows the scope of God’s work in his life and in the life of the church in Corinth. From start to finish, it’s by the grace of God for the glory of God that they are who they are in Christ.
