Identity Restored: The Remnant Returns

Introduction

God is still working even when people are sinful.

A Remnant is God’s graceful response to a people in need.

Ezra points to Jeremiah.

Jeremiah sent to call people back to the Lord. Jer. 3:12

Babylon has surrounded Jerusalem and cut off all supplies. Jer. 52:13

And so the People were Carried into Exile.

Sin isolates people.

Sin brings Separation.

Sin always has a Consequence.

It cuts us off from spiritual nourishment.

Our Sin and our Consequence doesn’t only Affect us!!

It can be your sin or someone else s.

Exile is the end of Jeremiah, but it’s NOT the End of the Story.

God remains faithful. Jer. 52:

Conclusion

What if I return only to fail again?

What if I rebuild only to lose it again?

God is calling you.

It is about God’s faithfulness.

God’s people (a remnant) went to rebuild the house of the Lord.
