The Blessings of Giving Back To God!

Intro: This is the season for giving or so they say!

We constantly “have” to buy more Christmas gifts, cards, and everything seems more expensive than ever.

(Probably because it is!)

But what about giving to God?

Most people don’t like to hear sermons on tithing but tithing isn’t exactly what I want to speak about.

It is giving cheerfully; not merely out of duty, or necessity, or because we have to but because we want to!

We cheat ourselves out of some great blessings not only in Heaven but also in life!

Don’t think He will ever forget your gift!

Don’t give because you are forced to but because you want to!

That is most important!

Some churches send bills for the weekly offering!

A new thing is to be futuristic and allow members to have it taken out of their checking accounts!

Some send letters or call members who haven’t given enough!

That is sick!!

We shouldn’t be forced to give!

But give because we look forward to it!
