What is your Mission Field?

Introduction of self
Are there any MSU fans? Ok Ole Miss Fans?
Now I know which ones are saved and who needs to be witnessed too!
As you begin you senior year of High School you are entering your mission field for the year in just a few minutes.
What do I mean by mission field? Can anybody for 100% certainty tell me that everybody at WCS is a christian? The probability of all people being saved is basically zero. Meaning that while you are on your campus your job is to be a missionary to your classmates.
We are going to dive into the Great Commission which commands all Christians to share their faith with others.
Matthew 28:16–20 ESV
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
This is right before Jesus ascended into heaven and his last physical words to his disciples on the earth. They carry out the entire purpose of Christianity. They were commissioned to GO and MAKE disciples.
They could not do this while being stationary. They actually had to take action in order to fulfill this commission.
They also were instructed to make disciples. What is a disciple?
A follower of someone.
If they were following Christ, then their disciples would also be following Christ.
Ok but how does this relate to me?
If you are a christian then you are a disciple. If you are a disciple then you are commissioned with the Great Commission.
We are commanded to GO and MAKE disciples. This coming school year you are in the best scenario to share your faith with your friends. You are able to reach people with the Gospel that I will never be able to reach. Friends win Friends for Christ.
However this commission does not cease as you graduate High School and College and enter into the working world. Parents this Commission is also for you! We all are commanded to share our faith with everyone we come in contact with. However, once someone is saved that does not mean that we move onto the next person. We must then begin discipling the new believer.
As seniors at WCS you are going to have alot of people looking up to you. If you are a Christian are they seeing the Gospel lived out through you. Have they heard you share your faith?
If you are an adult have the people that you work with heard the gospel because of you? Have those who are your friends do they know you are a Christian only because you have explicitly told them that you are?
Christians should never have to tell someone that they are a Christian. Lost people should know that someone is a Christians by the way they are carrying out the Great Commission.
How much must you HATE someone to not share with them the Gospel?
