Good moring, my name is Ryley and I am the Youth Pastor here at Family Chrsitian Centre. It’s preety amaizing to be able to speak with you this morning. For those of you who don’t know, I’m really new to this team, basically I’m really new to Fort McMurray.
Before June, I had never been up here. I’ve heard lots of storues, met a bunch of peopple, but had never been here myself. For the past four years, I’ve been in Edmontn where I comlted my degree at Vanguard College, and serving at a local church. So comig up here, I had to learn to adapt to the cultre up here
The culture of this church and the cultre of the community, were both things that I needed to adapt to and learn to be apart of. But it was a big change you know? I was telling some people in the church, tjat I wanged to decorate my apartment, get some nice plants, some decor. So, out of habit I guess I said to myself “well I’ll go see what winners has”, so I got up, went to my door and then it hit me, we dont have a winners. So I said, well I will check what Canadian tire has, then I realized that the canadian tire was flooded, so I went back to my couch and decied that the decor wasn’t that important anyway lol. You see, Fort Mac is very differnt from Edmont, the cultre is vastly differnt, IN edmotn everyone is always in
