stronger then whatever. Troubles me. Do you believe that here this morning? Amen, do you believe that? Do you believe that all your disappointments all of your failures or all of your flops? If you file them all together, they cannot make a scratch. On the love that the Lord has for you. Amen, it's good to be in the Lord's house today. So good to see each one of you you got your Bibles this morning. We're going to be over in the Book of Luke in the 10th chapter. Go read something. That's all too familiar and I'm apologize one more time for for the Sunday school class being so late coming out. Their teacher just don't know when to hush.

Amen, we had a great great time back there this morning. I want to say 2

to the ladies and in any if any of the men played a part in it the men too, but but I know quite a few of the ladies that that fed that family yesterday just thank you so much.

Well, I know she don't bless her heart. I remember them days what I almost feel like hiding.

But you know God puts opportunities in front of us to minister and it's showing love to a family when they're hurting is definitely one of them. So I just applaud he was one of you so so very much and I'll try to try to not drag anything on this morning.

These versus actually been on my on my heart this week prior to reading the Sunday School lesson. And and but when we got the Sunday School lesson this morning, we were we were in the in the same place in an even dawn had shared with me before Sunday school something that happened to her. And I thought man I ever this is one of those days where everything you hear just everything points in the same direction and and and I'm not just going to keep rambling this just going to get into word this morning. We're going to be in the Book of Luke in the 10th chapter. We're going to read a parable that I'm sure everyone of us know and that's the parable of the Good Samaritan. Everybody familiar with that Parable say amen. Amen. Going to begin reading with verse 25.

God's word reads it says and behold a certain lawyer stood up and he tempted him saying master. And he asked a good question. He says what shall I do to inherit eternal life? he said unto him what is written in the law and how Rita's thou

and he answering said Thou shalt love the Lord. Thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul with all thy strength and with all thy mind and the neighbor as you love yourself. And he said unto him now has answered right this do and thou shalt live. But he willing to justify himself set under Jesus and who is my neighbor? Jesus answering said certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among Thieves with stripped him of his raiment and wounded him and departed leaving him for dead or leaving him half-dead and by chance there came down a certain priest that way and when he saw him he passed by on the other side and likewise a levite when he was at the place came and looked on him and passed by on the other side. What a certain Samaritan. As he journeyed came where he was and when he saw him he had compassion on him and he went to him and he bound up his wounds pouring in oil and wine and sit him on his own beast and he brought him to an in and took care of him. In home tomorrow, when he departed he took out to fence and gave them to the host and said unto him take care of him and whatsoever thou spindles more when I come again. I will repay thee which now all these three think of style was neighbor under him that fell among the thieves and he said he that showed Mercy on him then said Jesus unto him go and do thou likewise father. We love you. We thank you for your many blessings. We thank you for your love your grace your unfailing mercy Lord. We just thank you so much for the songs that we've heard this morning Lord. I Thank you for each family each individual that's in your house today. We bless your name. We bless this precious word Lord, and we just pray that the that your spirit just as able to Menace. Sir, Lord into our hearts as you see fit Lord is usually we need to be ministered to bring us to a place Lord that is drawing us closer to you than ever before is my prayer. Let it start with me Lord this morning. And for sure we will give you the praise and honor and glory in the name of Jesus and the church says amen. Amen. And you know this morning I'm not going to try to tell you anything about this particular Parable that you don't already know. You've heard all the ins and outs over the years of this Parable. I'm sure you've heard the things in this Parable that that that probe the depths of our heart you've heard the things in this Parable the applications that you and I are or supposed to make and nnnn. I want to I want to say today, you know when we get in this Parable here. I think this Parable I'm not going to say it. Any more important than it was the day. Amen that Jesus spoke it but I am going to say this I do think is more need for today. Amen than in the day. He he spoke those words. And the reason I say that is because there has been a falling away from compassion consideration and love a menu for mankind from his his his fellow human beings. I mean, we're in a day and time now amen where where we live is people have grown so callous that that that we we murder influenced by the billions a man. We're in a place where we would just as soon and I'm not talking about any one of you and him talking about people but we just as soon cut somebody's head off as we had a whole conversation with a wind just as soon and it's terrible with Justin. 4 can of gas on somebody light them on fire and sit there and watch it as we would tell him good morning. And you and I are well aware today that the Bible teaches us that as we draw closer to the end of this thing and I want to tell you friends whether your watch is working or not. The clock is ticking amen and and and I said this and and and it said it a couple weeks ago that nobody's ever been as close as we have Amen to the Lord Jesus returning and just what I can say that same thing one more time today. Cuz if I said it two weeks ago guess what we are two weeks closer. Amen. And and so we're living in a day and time. We're just just the simple love of humanity is Vanishing in and if we're not careful that that that that able movement will infiltrate and work its way right on into our families and our home and our Communities and I want to tell you today friend the mark of a Christian. Amen is that he's going to love she's going to love a man even when it's hard to.

This fella asked Jesus and he tried to trap him and he said you no good Master. What do I have to do to inherit eternal life in Jesus turns around and looks at it and he says what do the scriptures say and this boy said everything that he needed to say.

Then Jesus said he said you've answered right but these would the smallest word in that verse is the biggest. Implication Jesus said you've answered right this new. And you shall live and see for this old boy. He knew what he should do. He just wouldn't do it. In the scripture even says that he said well, okay then then who's my neighbor? You know when you say the word neighbor we think about the fellow on the other side of the fence there or are the one across the street are the ones that we like and and the and the rest of them is heathens.

And and he said in their hate when he asked Jesus daddy that scripture even implies that he asked that question to to support why he was the way he was or it said to justify his actions. I'm trying to be still for for Mark this morning. Amen, and it's killing me. And Jesus said basically, I'm going to tell you a story.

He said there was a certain man.

We believe it to be a Jewish man. Who is on his way down to Jericho? And and if you go and research that area? That's a long downward climb mile on top of Mile and it was Notorious for robbers and thieves that would hide out in the cliff and Rob and attack unsuspecting individuals. And so it just so happened. This Jewish fellow is on his way down and it gets robbed and they must have mango them up pretty bad because when the robbers left the scripture tells us they left him for dead. Go to buzzards would get it. And as he lay there. When I see him laying there I see him unconscious. I see you. I see blood everywhere. I won't promise you he didn't have a bobo friend know the fella was in trouble.

And I see him laying there completely unable to help himself.

and the next thing Jesus says just Troubles us he said that a certain priest.

Heading down that same path. and any singing

and what is semen? not only did it troubling but he gets over on the other side. of the road Any cannot tell you what he done. He's too busy to get to the church out that he tried to ignore. What was really going on. Church up in Oklahoma called him a new pastor. And the on the first Sunday that he was supposed to show up, you know, people are people are driving up to the church and it just so happens on that same day. There's a homeless man. I mean smells bad looks bad. I mean long scraggly a shaved and who-knows-how-long and and there's people part they walked right by that homeless man ignore him and they go right on in. This is true story. Go right on into the church. They don't nobody nobody even acknowledges him and he tries to speak to a couple of them as they're coming by they give him a deer feared and everybody goes in the church and they start the singing and and and so the the church leader there he gets up to introduce the new pastor that Sunday in and out through the side door. Guess who walks in it's that old homeless man in He takes his hat off and he takes that beard off that he had on and and he already said was the altar is open.

You see there's a song called In the shadow of the steeple.

and am I pointing the finger at anybody this morning? I guess really if I was going to point a finger at somebody that had pointed at me. Lord don't don't don't help me getting don't don't help. Don't let me get to the point. That I'm that I'm so busy trying to serve you that I forget how to serve.

And that priest went right on down to the temple. And his Priestly Duty. When is sales a levite can walking by and actually Al invite was at the top of the food chain in the Israelite Community to be a priest you had to buy it here comes the levite walking down through there and levite sees him and he does the same thing he gets over on the other side of the road. Goes on the body's business at home or still in the same shape. He's in the same place. He's still hurt and he still can't do for his self and nobody has stopped to help you. And then Jesus he throws a handful of salt in this whole wound. Cutting people to the quick. He says now Americans walk down the way and if you do your homework the Samaritans and the Jews hated each other. I mean a Jew would call The Samaritan a half breed dog. That's how bad it was. And that's not just me rambling. That's a fact and so Here Comes This Samaritan down there and he sees is usually issue. He doesn't see a Jew he doesn't see someone of another race or another nationality he sees a person and he sees a person who's hurting who's in need and then I'm going to go on and say this and who is going to die. If he don't help you now, it's probably not fair what I'm fixing to say, but I'm going to say it. Anyway, there are people.

Who spiritually now? We we all around are we all are a free moral agent. We all have to make her own choice. I can't make your choice for you and you can't make it for me.

But there are people in this world who will die spiritually. If someone doesn't stop and get involved in their life.

He does something in this scripture. that I love

he stopped and it immediately he does what he can. And then he takes it a step further. Is he carries them to an end? And I don't want you to catch this. He pulls out some money and he hands it to The Innkeeper and then he says disc he says you keep him you take care of him. And if and if his bill runs over what I gave you when I come back through here. I'll pay up for it. Do you say what what exactly did he do? He committed himself to that person.

I do not know how many times. In my life, and I'm I'm just I'm just going to be honest with you all this morning. I don't know how many times in my life. But I felt drawn to somebody I've engaged that somebody I've tried to love that somebody and at the first sign and I'm talking about getting involved with someone who's lost in their life and that look first sign of rejection. Guess what?

What if Jesus would have done that with you? Can I tell you what would have happened with me cuz I promise you at look at the first time he minutes in my heart. Yeah, I rejected that and the second time and the third time and the fourth time. I'm so glad that he committed himself to me. He did it upon the cross to begin with but then he committed himself Amen to consistently and constantly pursuing me wife because without him I would spiritually be dead.

me and you can stand up here and we can know every word that that this blessed word tells us to do we can know every move to make We can know that we're supposed to love we can know that we're supposed to be compassionate and considerate but if we're not doing it, then we are that priests. We are that levite who's on the other side of the road going right on about their business letting someone and something demise and fall by the Wayside Inn, and I said earlier on and I'm trying to tell you I was going to try to do this quickly and I'm trying but I said earlier on I don't think that this set of scriptures is any more truthful today than it was years ago. What I do think that that it applies more because of what we seem going on in society in and around I'm just going to be real with you this morning real quickly for a few minutes because in today's day and time we can amend what we read right here and by saying This is what I mean. Is that one that's laying their Crush broken and crumbled regardless of who they are. Amen regardless of what's got them in there. But if you know of somebody even if they are in your family a man that is setting there in such a shape and you can I remind you today glory be to God that the word says I'm to him who knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it is It is a n. Mmm nnn and if they say anything I see happening in today's world that that goes along with this Parable a man is it's that one right there that that needs you. A man and you're standing here in a valley of decision on the other side of the driveway. Amen and off over on the side of the world has gained up in his crowded around and it is your biggest set of cheerleaders trying to get you to be concerned only about you. Only about you and only about taking care of you and hate guess what Christ Jesus. Amen. He's concerned, but it's not for him. It's for you.

God help.

If if we're out of place.

That's not easy.

It's not it's not easy. It's not easy to

see somebody in the roll your sleeves up.

In in in get involved.

And I can say that on a big level. And I can see it on a more simple level. I know what it's like to roll your sleeves up and get involved in someone's life. And you get a phone call the next day that they stuck a pistol in your mouth that does happen to me for different time and that that is heartbreaking. But guess what glory be to God if it happens 5 it'll be fine, but I'm not going to quit and I'm not going to give up just because it hasn't worked already and I'm going to step further with that. I had way too many things in life email fall apart and crumble apart because I stood over here trying to figure out what to do in this thing is so simple in Jesus is saying get your hindquarters over and I know he didn't stay that way. But if you can Lord, I want to add to that today and get involved in that life while there is still a chance amen and Salvage something out of that, you know, you don't have to like me today. But you got to love me if you want to go to heaven. Amen. So is it if you don't love me then the ultrasound place for you today. Amen, and I will pray with you until you do glory be to God.

I would love that in there. It's after he asked him. Personnel. Which one do you think?

Was a friend and he said I suppose the one that showed Mercy. I wish that he would have asked one more question in that parable.

I wish you would looked at him and said and which one are you?

I've been all three.

Do you know which one I am today?

Whichever one I choose today.

I could be any one of the three.

I'm scared. Because this world is growing so cold. So indifferent.

And I'm afraid the way that it's going that is going to impact us. and make us

shower and here's the here's the the cold hard truth of it. Is there's no way when we when we stand before the Lord that this world and all of its ignorance will be an excuse for me to not be. the good smart

nor will it be you?

that big word I want sister, to come up and play me something on the piano this morning. He said when he looked at him and he said you you've answered right and other words, you know, you know, right? Lenny said with you you got to you got to actually do that.

You know we have pressures that They keep us from getting involved. We have other things going on me. Keep us from getting involved. We have an adversary that whisper to you all. You don't need to get involved. We we we have the the masses telling us. Hey that that one don't deserve you to get involved, but I want to tell you.

I want to ask a question.

What if we narrow Samaritan? Look down there a d.

What if he recognized it?

And what if you recognized him as someone who had wronged it?

And he steal.

Do you feel me? And he still went to it.

You think that I ain't tending to my business?

How are you?

Or are you just in too big of a hurry? Like him first two word to get wherever it is. You think you're going.

It scares me to know.

when I get to heaven and I'm in spite of all my failures friend, I'm going

And I don't know that any I don't know that the words will be spoken. I don't know that anything will be brought to record election. I don't know about any of that, but I can guarantee you this. There's going to be some faces in heaven of people that I failed.
