When we believe in Jesus, his righteousness, the purity of heart of Jesus becomes ours. You might say that we have a heart transplant. We give Jesus our dirty, guilty heart and in exchange Jesus gives to us his pure and blameless heart. The righteous purity of our Lord fills us.
