Begin with the story of seeing the couple last week. Going through the day, sympathy but no action. God had not called me to do anything.

Late last week one afternoon, I had once again been with this couple. Said my greetings, went about my business. Then I was on my way home, tired, hungry, it had been a very long day. As I was driving........

The Holy Spirit told me to call this couple and ask to meet with them and pray for the man, he is very sick. I did not react at first. As a matter of fact I put it off thinking that the couple was busy, was traveling home, was…was…was…excuses. Again in a few minutes the Holy Spirit told me to reach out.......Whats going on here God. Don’t you know I am tired? I have been doing your work all week?????

I got home, changed my clothes and was in the kitchen making me some lunch, avocado, red leaf lettuce, peppered turkey breast, Pumpernickel bread, Hmmmmmm.....This was gonna be good. The Holy Spirit urging me again to reach out. I had many thoughts.

OK..........So I send a text to the lady, the wife, the spouse.......

Hey_________, When are you going home? REPLY, Not till Saturday............My reply, God just told me to reach out to you and pray over _________. Could you meet me at church tomorrow late morning? DISCUSS THE HOLY SPIRIT PROMPTING ME.

The next morning we met. I had it on my mind that I was going to read a few words from scripture, pray over this man, anoint him with Holy oil. AMEN

As I began reading the scripture that God had put on my heart, something happened, like never before in my life. The words took on a new meaning, God’s focus and my focus were coming together to Glorify God.

Matthew 9:35–38 “35 Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

DISCUSS THAT SCRIPTURE.........COMPASSION JESUS IS POINTING OUT THAT WE ALL NEED JESUS FOR HEALING...

Luke 17:11–14 “11 As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. 12 As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, 13 crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy...........

Luke 17:15–19 “15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” 16 He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.” DISCUSS FAITH.....................

Luke 18:35–39 “35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind beggar was sitting beside the road. 36 When he heard the noise of a crowd going past, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him that Jesus the Nazarene was going by. 38 So he began shouting, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 39 “Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”...............

Luke 18:40–43 “40 When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “I want to see!” 42 And Jesus said, “All right, receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.” 43 Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus, praising God. And all who saw it praised God, too.”

So you see, healing comes in many forms. As we go through our day, are we looking for the ones who need healing, physical healing, healing while grieving, healing financially, healing from loneliness???????

AMEN
