This morning as we gather we do so as people who have ben sitting under the sermon series the attributes of God - for some of us, this is the second time we have gone through the Attribute within the last couple of years.

This purpose of the Attributes is for us in our dependency in Christ - knowing who God is, builds our faith, in fact A. W. Tozer said,

“We wonder why we don't have faith; the answer is, faith is confidence in the character of God and if we don't know what kind of God God is, we can't have faith.” ― A.W. Tozer,

Now if you have been with us, and have been feeling you have not grown much in your faith, I encourage you to pick up some reading material such as The Attributes of God by Tozer, or A. W. Pink - read through and allow those authors to help you in your studies of the Scripture.

Now as we meet this morning, we are aware there is a lot going these days because of COVID 19. In the US, specifically in California - there has been some overreach regarding the state telling the church they cannot meet, or they cannot sing, and what is permissible.

Here at The Mill, I want to express to our brothers and sisters at Grace Community Church, to pastor John Macarthur, we are with you. You are leading and standing firm when many others are remaining silent. To the elders, we are praying for you daily in this time.

We are praying for you. Stand firm brothers - to those 1200 pastors in the State of California and all those across the US, across Canada and other parts of the world where the Government officials are coming against you - in China where they are destroying your buildings - Stand Firm!

Ephesians 6:10–19 ESV

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,
