Let me ask you a question tonight, and I want you to be brutally honest? Do you feel like the gospel has failed?

There are plenty of people today that could care less about church life

There are all types of religious systems out there that people take in whole heartedly as the truth

There is a slump in church attendance nations wide

Do you feel like the gospel has failed?

Mark 4:1–9 ESV

1 Again he began to teach beside the sea. And a very large crowd gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land. 2 And he was teaching them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them: 3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. 5 Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had no depth of soil. 6 And when the sun rose, it was scorched, and since it had no root, it withered away. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no grain. 8 And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” 9 And he said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Ezekiel 3:7 ESV

7 But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

He said oh Lord that is wonderful and he said Lord give me another verse! Put his finger down and

Ezekiel 2:5 ESV

5 And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them.

1, it is not pour job to make the gospel work

2, And as we are going to see tonight it is not my job to make the gospel work for you or your friends. The gospel is going to work no matter what

3, And tonight we are going to see that the gospel has not failed that everything is rolling out in this world the way God said it would in his Bible
