Scripture List:

THE ISSUE OF SIN
Romans 3:23 NKJV
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
THE PENALTY OF SIN
Romans 6:23 NKJV
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
HOW TO ENTER A RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST
John 3:3 NKJV
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
THE NARROWNESS OF THE GOSPEL
John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
ANYONE CAN BE SAVED
Romans 10:9–13 NKJV
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
WE MUST SURRENDER (TURN FROM & TURN TO)
2 Corinthians 5:15 NKJV
and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
THE LORD IS EAGER TO ENTER YOUR LIFE
Revelation 3:20 NKJV
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Why are these verses important for a lost person to read?
“There are many errors in the Bible.”
“I have been reading the Bible for many years, can you show me one of those errors?”
“There are many translations of Scripture, how do I know which one is right?”
Yes, there are many versions, but they all tell the same truth.”

Hearing

Romans 10:17 NKJV
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Have them read the verse aloud
When a lost person hears the message of the Bible, his is hearing Christ Himself, who speaks the message of salvation.
Reading out loud requires processing more than just the swipe and browse mentality.
Reading out loud ensures they are reading the right verse.

Asking

Luke 10:25–26 NKJV
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?
“What does this say to you?”
We have to be careful with this terminology as Christians - but with unbelievers which works just fine. We want to major on what it says, not what you want it to say.
The lost person does the talking.
The Holy Spirit with the Word of God does the convincing and convicting.
John 16:8–11 NKJV
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
