God Has Prepared a Place for You
God Has Prepared a Place for You
As the Israelites were returning to Jerusalem and the surrounding cities, many of them were coming to a place they had never been before.
Seventy years of exile led to quite a bit of uncertainty about how and where everyone fit together.
1/10th were to live in Jerusalem, the others to live surrounding.
The challenge of finding your place can feel overwhelming.
Relating to people who are new or different is a significant challenge.
TALK ABOUT THE STRUGGLE TO MERGE THE NEW AND OLD CROWD AT TAMMANY HILLS
When you have gone through a major life change, and all of us have in the last few months, finding out where we fit and how to plug in can be difficult.
God’s purposes do not change just because circumstances, locations or companions do.
The place that God has for you is better than anything you can produce on your own.
Stay in Your Lane!
Stay in Your Lane!
When you know who God created you to be, it is important to remain true to His calling.
It is dangerous to allow yourself to focus on what others are supposed to be doing rather than what He has called you to do.
Don’t allow others’ disobedience or hesitation to slow you down.
The movie Seabiscuit was about the famous race horse from the early 20th century that struggled mightily early in his racing career to live up to his potential. He had a habit of running with his competitors rather than trying to outrun them. He allowed their performance to dictate his. It wasn’t until the trainers could break him of this that he reached his true potential.
Jealousy, bitterness and strife all are byproducts of being more concerned about who is where instead of where you are supposed to be.
Honoring God by fulfilling what He has asked you to do has to be enough even if you are the only one doing it.

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
Just as He prepared a place for the Israelites, just as He has prepared a place for you to honor Him here, He is preparing a place in glory for His children.
When this life is over and this reality has passed, God’s children enter into a new reality that far exceeds our thoughts and dreams.
The glory of Heaven is not found in the beauty of its contents but in the identity of its Creator and Host.
This is one place you DON’T WANT TO MISS!

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
