A Restored Man

Gen 1:26-27, Duet. 28:12-14

Gen. 1 a very interesting thing happens here as the very intention of God is seen. In the book of Deuteronomy the mind of God is revisited, solely because of the fall of man: Dt. 28:12-14, Look at your neighbor and say, a restored man. I want to start by indicating the significance of creation is God’s desire to reveal himself. The primary reason for creation is the revelation of God. In order for anyone to grasp the splendor of God, God has to create 1st in order to reveal. It is God then in his extraordinary love for the creatures that he was going to create, that he would put them together and make them intelligent enough, that they might experience what no one could experience if he didn’t create them. Can you imagine not having not been in existence one, and can you imagine having been in existence and not experiencing God, that’s 2. In order for us to be able to appreciate the splendor of God, he did us a favor, he created us, for had we not been created we could not have enjoyed the splendor of God. To hide God is not to exsist at all. God can’t be hidden and if he’s not there then surely your not here, because your only here because of God. The only reason for anything to exsist then becomes for the revelation of God. Paul says revelation must be given & revelation must be received. So God who creates to reveal also creates the situation in which he will reveal himself. In order for him to reveal himself the creative process may take some time. So you will notice then, before God created his greatest creation, or man to receive his revelation, he supplied him with everything that he needed. It is critical now that when the man came into the world he didn’t have to wait and sit for the prescription to be filled. It was already filled before he came into the world because God understood that in order to reveal he has to create, but in order to create he has to sustain. And he sustains those that he has created to reveal himself to. This is what Gen, 1 is saying to me and that is that God has created the man, for the visitation of the cool of the evening. Notice if you will the elaborate structure of the universe, that God put together, just to put a man in the world, for him to reveal himself to in the cool of the evening. It would seem to me that God spent a whole lot for so little. That’s a whole lot of work just to spend an evening revealing himself to mankind. But where he does not sustain the can only be limited revelation. Because if God doesn’t keep you with in the parameters of this world, then you would loose that opportunity for God to reveal himself to you. So the same God that creates must sustain, and now he is the voice that is walking in the cool of the evening. I looked at the voice walking in the cool of the evening and I searched a couple of biblical interprutars, Nobel & Killich, they see this as the noise of his footsteps. The Murphy & Bush they see it as the thunder that accompanies his approach, that whenever God is coming he shakes up the environment, he has to shake up because everything in the creative sphere understands that it’s God moving, he doesn’t move like any other being or creature, he moves in a distinct way. When he is approaching his glory extends itself out, before he comes for he is surrounded by the power of his glory. Another saw it as his voice, but I see it as all of them put togheter, it’s the thunder of his approach, it’s the noise of his footsteps, it’s the sound of his voice. It’s interesting that if he is coming as a voice, and his voice is walking, then Adam is not seeing him with his eyes, he’s feeling him in his spirit. He’s walking so revelation is walking around as well, its where God has put the sustaining power in order to keep the man alive for no other reason than to visit with God, I wonder just how many of us have been kept alive by God so that he could just visit with us. He kept us alive and sustained us just so we could praise his name and give him glory. Cuz all he wants to is move around the parameters that he sustains and supplies so that we don’t have to worry about the supply we just focus on the God who supplies. We don’t have to worry about the things around us, we just give glory to God as he moves in our circle. So the reason to sustain then, is to continue his revelatory process, and something strange happens here, because now man decides he’s going to hide from his makers presecence and presence here means face. The face of the Lord identify’s the Lord because when you want to find out who a person is, you want to look in there face. You can’t identify someone simply by just looking at a hand, but the face also reveals the attitudes and the sentiments of the person. To hide your face in the scripture is to show displeasure or discuss, to raise the face is to show favor and respect and acceptance. The man is doing a strange thing to his creator because his creator has sustained him for revelation, God has made him in order to show him who he is, and yet the man is hiding from the very reason he was created. So God is making a move to get to know the man and the man has moved to get away from God, he’s taking an action that is negative against the purpose he was created. Now her comes trouble. How can you hide from the sustainer, who provided you with the intellect to receive the revelation, if God is all the great he has to create a vessel worthy and great enough to handle the greatness of God. He has to put it together so you can understand who he is. Isn’t that what God is doing in our lives, trying to get us to appreciate him? Trying to get us to give him glory and worship him. See God wants this revelation in a container that looks exactly like him, see when I make you in my image, I make you in the creative process to receive my revelation. But I don’t wait until you get my revelation for you to have some kind of resemblance to me, because your waiting for what you don’t know, but I’m giving you something I know and I want you to reflect me so that when I sit and look at man in the world he looks like me. Becaseu to reveal himself to something that is a reflection of himself multiplies his glory. Jesus if you will he taught us this same principle in another way, he said I must go so that the comforter will come and as long as I am standing here as an individual I can a lot for you, but until I become spirit and enter in you, I do anything thru you, but the this Jesus who can do it for by the Holy Spirit now employees others, he 1st birthed 12 and they birthed, and those birthed until now the body of Christ is not just a body that is contained in Jerusalem but has now become the whole world. So he wants to multiply himself in man. Man was made in Gods likeness and this becomes the reason for everything else that will follow. It begins with the image and the likeness of God your success as a man begins with how close you can come to the image and the likeness of God. I’m learning to quit trying to impress everybody cuz the one I need to be impressing is God. The image and the likeness now leads to the question “what is man that thou are mindful of him and son of man that you visit him? You made him a little lower than the angels but you crowned him with honor and glory. And it escaped me, that this answer is right in front of my face, and that is that God can’t move away from his image. There is something about the creative process when he’s made you like himself, he cant just sit there and watch you and have his image being walked on. He can’t just sit there and let the devil destroy the very face of God, when you attack man devil, you attack the image of God. You mess up his representation and he will not allow it. Because now what I have is the predication of image and likeness that God is preputaully drawn to this image and likeness to this reelection of himself, in which he wants to house his revelation. He cant deny it becaeu he’s totally drawn to it the reason he brought you out was for his nameseake for his glory sake. Now because of this image and likeness, comes dominion. You have to have the image and likeness of God in order to rule your environment, that’s what the devil wants to do, is to break down your image, so that anytime that the demon looks at you, he doesn’t see the God like quality that encase and shows your power, but when your walking as a resotred man then you can look the devil in the face and say God in me, has just shown up, so you have got to go, you have to get out of my house, get out of my job, get out of my marriage, because God and me, have come to subdue. What were the words dominion, replenish, subdue, its time. Subdue that attack that the devil is bringing on you, ain’t nothing going to wipe you out when you show up in the image of God, your set to be in charge. Ask your neighbor “are you in charge?” God put you in his image to be in charge. You must understand this, God’ image does not exsist in man’s body, which was formed from earthly material, but in his spiritual likeness to God, because is non material, and to rule God like it becomes neccasary to understand that the greater part of you is non material this is where we have gone wrong because we stress so much physical attributes, that we fail to understand that is not what give us rulership, in a demon dominated world. Listen when the devil moves your circumstance and messes with your sensual perception your quick to throw in the towel and jump off the bridge, but when you understand your likeness is like the voice walking in the evening cool, you ain’t supposed to see it, but your sure enough going to feel it. Listen you don’t have to be 6’8 you can be a little guy with a Holy Ghost persona moving thru you, that the devil understand that this a restored man. I can’t jump on him any kind of way, because he has been resotred to the image of God. Listen you can’t control your environment thru the flesh because the flesh is connected to the situation but your spirit is aloof and stand separate from what your going thru that’s why a real man, you can’t break his spirit, you might break his back, his bank, his house, but you can’t break his spirit. He can look the situation in the face and say I will be back I’m just going to get some help, my helps comes from the Lord. See what sin does is turns a man inside out, a restored and has been turned back in, where the outside is superficial but the inside is incredibly powerful, this is where God wants to restore the attitude of his people and he says when I choose you I don’t choose you to be a tale, but I choose you to be the head. When you talk about head from this Hebrew word it speaking about controlling, it’s speaking bout planning and vision, thinking and executing, the chief officer. You can’t do nothing w/o the chief officer, because this is God’s representation and when God see you moving as the chief office, the provider, then God now sees himself, and when God sees himself in you it gives him glory and when he gets glory it releases things and he sustains who gives him glory. That’s why I want to tell you don’t let anybody out worship you, don’t let them out praise you, don’t let them out dance you. That’s why the power of the sower, because God put a seed in everything he created, listen he spoke it but you got to sew it, understand sewing will always be less than your harvest, some folk just sitting around looking for a harvest and it’s not coming because you haven’t sewn it, but the seed that God gave you has the power to bring you everything you need, that’s why the writer said the Lord is my shepard and I shall not want. Can I tell you that he always cares, it is care that motivates God, not feeling sensations, because we have allowed the devil to move us to sensationalism all we want to do is feel in our bodies, but in order for us to God like you’ve got to care and that requires thought before hand, See like God did czu when you came to him he had everything that you needed because he didn’t want you to have to wait, but he wanted your undivided attention. He don’t want you worrying about rent, I’ll take care of the rent. That’s why I give him the glory becaseu he takes care of the house and all I need to do is lift up the name of the Lord.
