HOW TO WIN OVER WORRY
Psalm 37:1-7
A.) YOU PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD
“Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.” (Psalm 37:3)
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ,” (Romans 5:1)
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must
believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
“The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:17)
“6 Do
not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and
sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is
lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such
things.” (Philippians 4:6-8)
B.) YOU DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD
“Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
(Psalm 1:2)
“for I delight in your commands because I love them.” (Psalm 119:47)
C.) COMMIT YOUR WAY TO THE LORD
“5 Commit
your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteous
reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” (Psalm 37:5-6)
“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” (Proverbs 16:3)
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be
shaken.” (Psalm 55:22)
