james 3:13-18

James 3:13–18 KJV 1900
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 5:7–12 KJV 1900
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
earthly wisdom is bitter jealousy
according to James it is the impulses that under-grid all types of sin
Heavenly wisdom brings about peacemaking, sowing seeds of purity peace and
gentleness
Endure
means going through while trusting in God with patients
most of the time we just want our suffering to stop
we must remember weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning
whose on your side
look at how Job dealt with his suffering lost everything but continued to trust in God
Look at the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace
Daniel in the den Lions
Paul and Sailus locked up in jail but in the midst they prayed and sang praises unto the Lord
We see people making it all the time but not serving God do not lose your faith
Psalm 73:2–3 KJV 1900
But as for me, my feet were almost gone; My steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Habakkuk 1:1–4 KJV 1900
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! Even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? For spoiling and violence are before me: And there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: For the wicked doth compass about the righteous; Therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
