And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the Lord before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.”1

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
By God’s will our life’s are given to us.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
For many are called, but few are chosen.
The effective call. All have been call generally by the Glory of God’s creation and the conscience we were given.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
You must be born again by the Spirit in order to receive Christ.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The “wind” equates to the Holy Spirit. God bring the Spirit to those He chooses.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
God has given Christ His sheep, we come to Christ by the Grace of the Father.
And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
God gives those that belong to Christ. It is by His will not ours.
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Election is by God’s will.
But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
Jesus knew not all people would be saved. Knowing a man’s heart Jesus knew the sheep and goats as He preached.
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
God’s will gives Grace to He chooses.
He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
By God’s Grace the Holy Spirit works on the heart of a man so he may hear the voice of Christ.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
God has given of His will certain men/women and no one can take them from Christ.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
God chooses.
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
The Father gave Christ His sheep.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
We are call by God’s will.
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
All that are Elected by God are justified.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.
There are no seekers for God. God seeks his.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Our will is governed by sin. It takes God’s Spirit to bring about a rebirth which enables us to see Him.
Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Not all people are in God’s family only those He chooses.
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
God knows before mans birth who will belong to Him.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Gods choice.
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
God calls us to Christ.
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Buy God’s pleasure not mine.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Paul is talking here about cans of people not individuals.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Be bold in your testimony.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Note here that it is God that grants the salvation of the Lord.
