The Tongue That Sways Back and Forth

TONGUE The tongue (Hb. lashon, Gk. glossa) is the organ of speech. In both the OT and NT the word is also used for languages spoken (Isa. 28:11–12; Acts 2:4, 11) as well as for the people who are represented by those languages (Isa. 66:18; Rev. 5:9). The word is also used of the tongues of animals, especially
VS 1 Not many should become teachers? Why Not?
Ans. because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
VS 2 We all stumble in many ways:
List ways we stumble:1/ Eating excessively 2/talking and not listening 3/ telling Lies 4/ giving wrong information
Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check???????
VS 3 The bit in the mouth of a horse: Make them obey us and turns the whole animal
VS 4 ships as example. They are large and driven by strong winds, are steered by a very small rudderwherever the pilot wants to go.
How is that accomplished?
VS 5 Likewise is the tongue, is a small part of the body, It makes talk with excessive pride and self-satisfaction and it can set a forest on fire by a small spark
VS 6 The tongue is a fire, A world of evil among the parts of the body.It corrupts the whole body, set the whole course of one’s life on fire
