The Problem

Leprosy would have been the defining characteristic of Naaman’s life.

He was unable to do anything to change his situation.

Naaman’s situation serves as a reminder of the terrible nature of sin and

our inability.

If the story left off here, it would be a sad one indeed.

Solution

We need to see the seriousness of the problem to understand the solution

makes sense.

Naaman’s pride was initially greater than his desire for healing.

Naaman then humbled himself enough to receive the help he needed (vs14).

We must not reject the grace we need that is only in Jesus Christ.

Cleansing Results

Leprosy was no longer the defining characteristic of his life.

Naaman went looking for a physical healing but got something so much greater (vs15).

Through Jesus, we are born again by the Holy Spirit to new life.

We couldn’t change our situation, but God addressed it through Jesus.
