This week's message compares the burden of the Pharisees, in the letter of the law, and the burden of Christ, which is according to the spirit of the law. The burden of the letter of the law is aligned with the works of the flesh and thus, laborious and heavy laden, while the spirit of the law, as Jesus reminded the multitudes, is a light burden to bear.
