Romans 1:18–23 NKJV
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Romans 1:28–32 NKJV
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
The core principle of evolution by natural selection: things “evolve” gradually, one small change at a time. Each step *must* provide a selection advantage or the evolution dies out of the population.
Cells can build cells. So when a cell builds a cell, it has to build everything the cells needs to also build a cell.
What would be required to do that?
Cells are made of proteins. Proteins are complex shapes that fit together to create machines.
Instructions
A language for the instructions
A way to select a specific piece of the instructions by reading the language from #2
Materials
A machine to read the instructions and assemble the structure that can read the language from #2
A way to label each material to match to the instructions, using the language from #2
A way to select a specific material from the pile of all materials by reading the language from #2
A way to transport the material into the machine
power
a generator to create and supply the power
Instructions
dna/mrna
A language for the instructions
the dna language
A way to select a specific piece of the instructions by reading the language from #2
RNA polymerase (made of proteins)
Materials
amino acids
A machine to read the instructions and assemble the structure that can read the language from #2
ribosome (made of proteins)
A way to label each material to match to the instructions, using the language from #2
aminoacyl-tRNA syntase (tRNA ligase) (made of proteins)
A way to select a specific material from the pile of all materials by reading the language from #2
EF-Tu (made of proteins)
A way to transport the material into the machine
cytoplasm & tRNA (made of proteins)
power
ATP
a generator to create and supply the power
mitochondria with it’s many ATP Synthases (made of proteins)
All of this is just a TINY sample of everything required. You also must have a cell membrane, error correction machines, mechanisms for know *which* cell type is being built, etc...
What would any of these pieces do without all of them? What would they do without the language?
Come up with a way this could happen that doesn’t involve a creator/designer/guidance.
What can we learn?
God can setup enormously complex situations
The more complex a situation, the more pieces are required
When you’re praying for God to do something, you’re just asking Him to do all this again!
What to say to people:
Cells have to build cells that can build cells. What would be required to do that? This process requires at least ten different steps to work, including power, a language, and machines that can read the language. It cannot evolve through natural processes.
The Bible says creation reveals God’s invisible attributes. Your life is not an accident. The same God that designed all of this loves you and wants you to serve Him.
