FOR YOUR HEALTH

July 2019—8.2% of adults showed signs of anxiety disorder.
July 2020—36% of adults showed signs of anxiety disorder.
In 2010, over 253 million prescriptions of antidepressants were given out to people in the United States alone. Since then, that number has increased by 30% every year. Depression and anxiety do not discriminate against race, age, belief, status or stage of life. There is an all-out war being waged on mental and emotional health around the world—and it is time the Church starts talking about it!
When was the last time you were fully alive? Can you think back to when you were truly engaged in life? God did not create you to live half alive! It is time to get back your fight to live.
Your life is important. Your role is vital in the body of Christ!
Mental and emotional illnesses tend to drain the life from people. Depression and anxiety can feel all-consuming. Sometimes, you might not even feel anything at all. Life might seem dull, meaningless or cloudy.
God created you to be fully alive. Jesus gives abundant life! Full life! Overflowing and to the brim! With His help, it is possible to live fully alive again.
God is fighting for you, but you also need to do your part in the natural. Fight to wake up. Fight to get out of bed. Fight to show up to work. Fight to be present with your family. Fight to love your spouse. Fight to focus on your relationship with Christ. Fight to get to church. Fight to be fully alive!
Following Jesus doesn’t mean you will not face problems or challenges in life. Take a look at what Jesus tells us in John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
No matter what troubles or circumstances you are facing, Jesus has overcome the world. Since He lives in you, you also can overcome. Embrace the peace He promises and fight to be fully alive!

How did Jesus find relief from anxiety?

TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS.

They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. Mark 14:32-33 NIV
Mark 14:32–33 NIV

He plunged into a sinkhole of dreadful agony. Mark 14:33 MSG
He is honest to his friends…
My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.” Mark 14:34 NIV
Mark 14:34 NIV
34 “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.”
One of the biggest reasons you are feeling anxious is because you are lacking community!
we were not made to be alone. in fact in the begging the first thing God did was to create a partner for Adam. Not good to be alone
Genesis 2:18 NIV
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Anxiety is a signal alerting you that it’s time to pray.
IF it s Big enough to worry about—Big enough to pray about!
If your worried for the virus --- pray for it
Marriage --- Pray about it
economy - kids school - job - health
Jesus prayer was honest. He wants you to be honest too… pour it out on him.
God can take your honest prayer.
“ Why didn’t you…” “where were you …?”

TALK TO YOUR FEELINGS.

You are not your feelings
they are real, they are importante but they don’t control you. You don’t lead me. they are not always true .
“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” Mark 14:36 NIV
Mark 14:36 NIV
36 “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
Yet not what i will BUT your WILL
You might feel “jesus doesn’t love me” thats what you feel BUT that’s not true… Jesus is Love
What does He feel like? Doesn’t feel like going cross!
So, Jesus says, “Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
Speak truth to our feelings—ALIGN our FEELINGS with our FAITH.
Feel God doesn’t love you—Truth is he does! (God so loved)
Feel you’re alone—Truth—Never leave.
Feel worried $—My God supply all needs!
Feel victim! Truth—Overcomer!
