1. Respect God More: Israel feared idols more than God. Gideon also did not trust God as his fathers taught. (Judges 6:1-24 NKJV)

2. Recognize Compromising Respect: Gideon feared his countrymen and Midian more than God. (Judges 6:25-40 NKJV)

3. Remember God's Glory: God comforted Gideon with a dream; Gideon had courage in God; and God delivered the Midianites into his hand. (Judges 7:1-25 NKJV)
