2 Kings 6:8-23

Spiritual Reality

There is always more going on than what we can see.

We see there are spiritual forces for good (vs17) and know there are those

of evil (Ephesians 6:13).

Knowing this reality should change the way we fight.

We must rely on the spiritual weapons of prayer (vs18) and the truth of

God’s Word (Ephesians 6:17).

Victory

Elisha is confident of the victory in this situation (vs16).

We know Jesus has already defeated the forces of evil (Colossians 2:13-15).

In Christ, we know that we can’t lose.

We should have a careful confidence as we move forward serving Him.

Faith

Faith (Hebrews 11:1) is how we live out God’s victory in these spiritual battles.

“We live by faith, not by sight”- (2 Corinthians 5:7).

In faith, we will never be afraid.

We must continue to serve God no matter how many potential hang-ups

there are (Romans 8:31).
