End Time Lawlessness
There is a fight going on.
A fight between good and evil for the souls of the human race.
It started before the beginning of time. Since then, it has moved from heaven to earth in the garden of Eden. It has now spread to every person and to the ends of the earth.
Today, we are witnessing the climax of this celestial fight.
And while you have a part to play…
The fight is about God, not you
Lawlessness
· From heaven to earth
· Increases until End of Time
· Prepares way for Antichrist
o “man of lawlessness,” who will lead the final rebellion against God
· Church is restraining force of Antichrist until Rapture
· Christ destroys antichrist
God’s Law and Order
God’s Word is called the Law. Opposition to God’s Word is to oppose the ultimate Law.
· All Intuition of Authority is of God –
o Similar to today – Attack on Institutions of Life, Marriage, Family, Church
· Rebellion against authority is Rebellion against God
· However, sin is never to be condoned, excused or rationalized, regardless of the perpetrator – whether it be an authority figure or a civilian.
2 Thessalonians 2:1–12 ESV
1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
From Godliness to Lawlessness
Trends and polls, surveys – denote America’s consistent generational decline of both morality and spirituality
50’s – greasers
60’s – hippies – free love – distrust of authority taught systemically
70’s – abortion
80’s – replaced God for materialism
90’s – hippies now in positions of authority
00’s – replaced God with internet
10’s – children of hippies now business owners and in Gov’t – dictating new social norms while censoring free speech, while churches became more seeker friendly.
20’s – canceling culture, rewriting history

1 John 3:4–10 ESV
4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
