PREPARING TO CONQUER THE GRAVE Psalm 49:6-20 1.) IT IS NOT THROUGH INCREASED EDUCATION “For all can see that the wise die, that the foolish and the senseless also perish, leaving their wealth to others.” (Psalm 49:10) 2.) IT IS NOT THROUGH INCREASED WEALTH “16 Do not be overawed when others grow rich, when the splendor of their houses increases; 17 for they will take nothing with them when they die, their splendor will not descend with them.” (Psalm 49:16-17) “Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;” (Psalm 37:1) 3.) IT IS THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead; he will surely take me to himself. (Psalm 49:15) “I know that my redeemer lives and that in the end he will stand on the earth.” (Job 19:25) “ Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” (Hebrews 7:25) “…prepare to meet your God.” (Amos 4:12)
