Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word, just to rest upon His promise, just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”
O how sweet to trust in Jesus, just to trust His cleansing blood, just in simple faith to plunge me ’neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus, just from sin and self to cease, just from Jesus simply taking life and rest and joy and peace.
I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee, Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend; and I know that Thou art with me, wilt be with me to the end.
Chorus: Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more!
Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will refuge; his faithfulness will be shield and rampart.
IS 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
Acts 10:43 About him all the prophets testify, that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
Rms 1:16,17; 5:1,2 The Power of the Gospel 16)For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17)For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith, just as it is written, "The rightous by faith will live."
Rms 5:1,2 Therefore, since we have been declared righeous by faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ, 2)through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice.
Eph 1:3-14 Spiritual Blessings in Christ
Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. 4) For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love. 5) He did this by predestining us to adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will - 6) to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son. 7) In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace 8) that he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight 9) He did this when he revealed to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ 10) toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ - the things of heaven and the things on earth. 11) In Christ we too have been claimed as God's own possession, since we were predesting according to the one purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will 12) so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of his glory. 13) And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) - when you believed in Christ - you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, 14) who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory.
