6 Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.
7 Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.
8 I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?”
8 So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle.
10 But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
11 in all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land,
12 and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.
Persevering Faith Point 1
Persevering Faith Point 1
Is heroic and infectious (vs. 23)
Moses’ parents were not afraid of the kings command
Moses was preserved through his parents faith
1 And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi.
2 So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months.
3 But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank.
4 And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.
(Exodus 1:all) Hebrew Midwives
God honored their civil disobedience
Moses being found by Miriam and Moses mom got to wean him
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Plan of God was instilled into a set of parents -
Think of what they had to work through to take this step a faith
24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended and avenged him who was oppressed, and struck down the Egyptian.
25 For he supposed that his brethren would have understood that God would deliver them by his hand, but they did not understand.
Israel’s deliverance came through Moses’ parents faith!
(Acts 16:25-34) Philippian Jailer and his family saved
24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,
26 esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
Persevering Faith Point 2
Persevering Faith Point 2
Is courages (vs. 24 -26)
True Persevering Faith will be courages through any circumstances
Sin is pleasurable but it is a passing pleasure
Moses chose to identify not with royalty but slavery for righteousness sake
Chose God rather then the world
Persevering Faith Point 3
Persevering Faith Point 3
Causes us to hold onto righteous values and living (vs. 26)
Moses was more excited about the plan of God then the plan of the world
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.
Persevering Faith Point 4
Persevering Faith Point 4
Does not give into fear (vs 27)
This faith of Moses was not natural but super natural
(Exodus 7 thru 11) Moses went to Pharaoh 10 times obeying God
He lived in absolute confidence that what God said He was going to do He was able to do
28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
Persevering Faith Point 5
Persevering Faith Point 5
Will bless others! (vs 28 )
So impacting faith Moses faith it affected Moses and so impacting was his faith that it impacted the people to obey
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.
(Exodus 14) Frontline Ministry
Do I want to be in the front or in the back when God parts the Red Sea?
Today is my faith frontline or back of the line?
Moses learned to say don’t send me where you are not at? (Exodus 33:15)
