What is the Bible?

A lot of people look at the bible as a rulebook, but that doesn’t quite sum it up. Sure there are rules in the Bible, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy contribute much of what we know as the “Law”. The Gospels give us the Gospel which we must obey to be saved.

It’s actually about much more than that, it’s a story that tells us who God is and who we are!

Blunders

It’s this kind of thinking about the Bible, outside of its original purpose, that leads us to look at the book of Genesis, in which it is written for the first time that there is one God, Yahweh, who spoke into existence everything that we know, every star and every planet and every blade of grass here on earth, and who molded humans out of clay and breathed the very life into our lungs, it leads us to look at that incredible narrative and ask.. “Okay but where EXACTLY do the velociraptors fit into this?!”
