The highway of the upright is to depart from evil:
He that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
And an highway shall be there, and a way,
And it shall be called The way of holiness;
The unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those:
The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
INTRODUCTION:
These highways that we see in God's Word have been TRAVELED, TESTED and found to be true. Any congregation or individual can put them to the test.
LET US GO DOWN THEM TODAY THE HIGHWAY OF FAITH
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Greatest blessing ever comes is salvation and it comes by faith—Eph. 2:8-9 God expects us after salvation to live by faith—Rom. 1:17; Gal. 3:11; Heb. 10:38 Good men have put it to the test for blessings—1 Sam. 17:31-51
THE HIGHWAY OF OBEDIENCE
And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the Lord hath given you the city.
See blessings when Peter and disciples obeyed—John 21:3-6 Surely can be no blessings when we disobey Him in witnessing, prayer, tithe, faithfulness. Satan responsible for disobedience—Gen. 3:1-7
THE HIGHWAY OF COURAGE
Dan. 6:1-24 Be strong and good courage
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
THE HIGHWAY OF GIVING
Many blessings in giving
Honour the Lord with thy substance,
And with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,
And thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth;
And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
The liberal soul shall be made fat:
And he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
