You Are Accepted

. So far in this GROW course you have heard from Ps Peka that God Loves you and Ps Keith that God forgives you.

. In this Video i am going to talk to you about the reality that God accepts you.

. In my experience, the truth that God truly and completely accepts us is often the hardest one for people to believe and understand fully.

. we can understand love because we have all loved someone who has do hurt us in some way, we can understand forgiveness because we have all forgiven people in our lives.

. but acceptance, true acceptance is difficult to comprehend.

. when we think about all of the reasons why we think God should not accept us, we can begin to believe that we will only ever be second class citizens in God’s family.

Romans 15:7 “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God”

. The words of the Apostle Paul to the church in Rome, which was unique in the fact that it had both many people who were of the heritage of Israel, and also many what is referred to as Gentiles, we were people from other nations that had now been accepted because of Jesus into God’s family.

. And the two groups were having difficulties getting along, but Paul is teaching them and us, that it is no longer about background, it is no longer about where you have been or what you have done, but it is now because of our belief and our Faith in Jesus that we are all fully accepted by God as his children.

. Something that we need to learn about our relationship with God and his acceptance of us, is that it never changes it never alters.

. You will never be accepted any more or any less by God then you are now, you are simply put, completely accepted by God always, because of your faith in Jesus and your belief that he is the son of God.

John 6:37 NKJV

All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

. There is a fear that some Christians have, that if they continue to make mistakes and do the wrong things (sin) that they will no longer be accepted by God.

. Which is why these words from Jesus are so important that we understand, that he “will by no means cast us out” once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and been accepted by him into his family.

. we will by no means be cast out, there is nothing that you or i can do that would cause us to no longer be accepted by God.

. The truth is that God wants us to grow and wants our lives to change, but this is an ongoing process that will in fact last for our entire lives.

. We are going to make mistakes, and we are going to fall short of the best that God has for us at times.

. But there will never be a moment regardless of the mistake that you made, that you will not be accepted by God.

. Because of your faith in Jesus, you are accepted into his family, you are a child of God.

. and you are and always will be accepted by God, mistakes and all fully and completely accepted by God.
