Who was Elijah?
What was he sent to do? He was sent to give the Widow hope and a thriving push through until the famine lifted.
What signs has God given you during this pandemic that He is with you?
Share the story of the impact of the Food Giveaway during these last 6 months.

There is a Benefit in Obedience

When the widow obeyed the instructions of the Prophet she was sustained through the toughest time of the town. This is not to say that it will be your last time ever going through any adversities, but it is a reminder that the Word of God is true.
Psalm 37:25 I was young, but I am now old but I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging for bread.
We have seen some lean days, but as children of God we should never see some without days.
When we sow into our prophets there is a reward in doing so. Now this is not to be one of those you need to be sowing into your pastors type of message, but read the versus 9 again,” I have commanded the widow there to feed you...” That was a seed of obedience she was ready to eat her last cake and die, but because of her obedience she lived through what some in that town died in.

What is left?

There are times when what is left is all you need.
A little bit of money
A little bit of food
A little bit of gas
Here is something that you must be aware of :
Your faith is bigger than your your situation.
Why?
Because there is a huge God waiting to handle your small situation. Yes it is small to God because there is nothing too hard for God. Your sizeable situation is not bigger than the faith you utilize. God is waiting on us to trust Him in the midst of this pandemic. She thought it was going to be an,” I’ll make this man of God cake we will eat our cake and then we will die.” Type of situation, false. God is going to cause us to thrive in the midst of this pandemic what I can say is this,” the church has been flourishing in the midst of famine. Why because of our commitment to sow continuously into our community. I can not tell you how God has been constantly blessing our house and our teams house because of our drive to go bigger in sowing into the community every chance we get.
Yes it would be great to gather, but how can people soberly gather in the midst of their pantry and fridge being bare? Like why would I want you to try to “throw on the face” knowing that you are worried about where your next meal is coming from.
Give the illustration of how we started out and how God is upping the ante every time....
You might feel like Pastor Terrance all I have is this.....
But in actually if you have God you have everything that you need. What left in the hands of God is everything that you need.
There may be somebody online today that is saying Pastor Terrance I am at my last....
straw
meal
couple of dollars
I am frustrated and don’t know what else to do....
This is the place when you realize that the way that I am looking at what is left is absent of God.
There are times when you have to pray Lord fix my heart so that as I pray it is not steeped in bitterness regarding my situation. Listen you can pray frustrated even angry, but how will you hear God’s voice with those walls built up? So repent have a moment to decompress (take a couple of breathes then engage God soberly, that way you aren’t just barking a prayer up to Him.)
It never gave outline of how the widows demeanor was, but it never gave off the means of belligerence. When we are at our WHAT’S LEFT we will try almost anything just to get relief.
The next time you look at what’s left and think where should this seed or cake go? There is your solution.
We must remain consistent to our commitment with our relationship with God, yes even now in the midst of a pandemic. Especially in during this pandemic.
