DO NOT FORGET TO UNMUTE
It’s THURSDAY the 3RD day of September— CONGRATULATIONS to those who completed the Gospel of John!
We will begin with the book of Acts on Monday the 7th— Meanwhile, let me continue with our discussion about the vision that God gave to Agape
Yesterday I gave you a brief history how it came about— that back on 2015 when I was called to Pastor Agape, we restructured, reorganized, and re-wrote our constitution and by-laws in our effort to revive the church through the Holy Spirit’s guidance
Part of the by-laws is our vision and mission statement— we are able to reduce it in writing— I shared it to everybody yesterday— but let me give you a quick review hoping you’ll be able to digest it well and hopefully you’ll embrace this vision and become part of it
Here is our vision statement again--
OUR VISION
"To Glorify God by building communities that are spiritually healthy, morally upright, physically fit, mentally alert, emotionally happy and financially stable. To share His love to the un-churched, un-loved, un inspired, un-motivated and especially to the believers of Jesus Christ.”
If you notice— it is made of 2 parts— Glorify God! Share His Love! [SHOW PHOTO]
How can we glorify God?
Building Communities— that’s Home Church Planting— this only came to reality after this Covid-19 gave us the great confirmation— and only after God used LB Charitable Foundation as our great affirmation!
What kind of communities do we envision to build for God’s glory?
Spiritually Healthy
Morally Upright
Physically Fit
Mentally Alert
Emotionally Happy
And even Financially Stable— Agape do not just look after the spiritual welfare of every individual and group— we offer ourselves as the Lord’s vessels [instruments, ambassadors] to nourish the overall welfare of every individual, family and groups that God is going to send our way
On a case to case basis— depending on where you’d like to start your home church— if your space provides for something like this [SHOW PHOTO]— back to basic— Noah’s Land—
And the second part is— Share His love!
To whom are we to share His love?
To the unchurched— those who are not part of the church of Jesus Christ yet— and they’re plenty— we do no plan to fish on someone else fish tanks [aquarium] — according to Barna Research Institute— here in the US alone, nearly 100 million are “unchurched”
To the unloved— who are these people?— well, they are the neglected, the orphan, the widows, the outcasts, the rejected, people overlooked by our societies, people who are addicted to substance, people who fell into prostitution, addicted to gambling
To the uninspired— people lost inspiration and aspirations [hope or ambition in achieving something] on life
To the unmotivated— people who lost their sense of purpose in life— or to those who have not discover theirs yet
And especially to the Believers of Jesus Christ— members of His body [church]
Now that you know our vision— HOW ARE WE GOING TO TRANSLATE OUR VISION INTO MISSION?
Let me take you first to the Bible where we based our Mission Statement

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This is the Great Commission [Malaki o Mahalagan Kautusan]
Just right before Jesus ascended back to the Father— He said these words — let’s take a closer look

ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME
This was later on affirmed by Paul in his letter to the church in Ephesus— EPHESIANS 1:20-23
GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
Listen to what Paul said in — ROMANS 10:14-15
BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
If you remember when Nicodemus went to see the Lord in the middle of the night, He said these— JOHN 3:5
TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU
Because Jesus said, our obedience is proof of our love for him— JOHN 14:15
Our task is to reproduce ourselves by GOING, BAPTIZING and TEACHING
And so from these— we arrived at this Mission Statement
