Abraham is a physical man given promises that would be fulfilled physically to a physical people and then spiritually to a spiritual people.
As it relates to the physical seed. He would be the sent by God to be the father of a great nation that would find themselves in slavery upon their birth. In slavery due to another generation. But this people God will redeem from slavery because of my covenant God has made with them. God will provide the necessary substitution that will afford them this redemption. This physical people will be marked by a physical sign, “circumcision of the flesh”. They will be fruitful a multiple in the land God gives to them.
