Place: Tunstall Apo.               Pm Sunday, 30th April 2006.

Text: John 1:29.                     Theme: The Rubbish of sin.

Introduction: Jesus our rubbish collector.

John 1:29

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Need: Black bin bag, A4 “SIN” taped to bag, all children to have an A4 paper folded with “SIN” written on it.

What is this bag for children? What do you place in these bags? Rubbish! What do you do with rubbish at your house? Put it on the bin for the rubbish collector to pickup.

What happens if you do not put the rubbish bin out? Smelly, dirty, flies.

Do you ever worry about what they are going to do with your rubbish? No. They just take it away. Sometimes they bury it, but now they recycle it. They give it new life by turning it into something useful.

We have rubbish inside us that we call “Sin.” It is the bad things that we say and do. And just like the rubbish in our homes we have to put Sin out on the curb for the rubbish collector.

John said that: “Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

Jesus is our rubbish collector. He wants us to put all the bad things in our lives out for Him to pick up and take away. We do not have to worry about them anymore once we give them to Him.

Let us put out the rubbish today!

Each one of you has a piece of paper with the word SIN on it. We are going to take the sin in our lives and crumple it up and throw it away. We are going to place “OUR SIN” in this rubbish bag, for we know that Jesus came to take away the sin of the world.

Prayer: Dear Jesus I want to put my trust in you, will You take away the sin in my life. But Your death on the CROSS and rising again! Men!
