I need the peace only Jesus can give

Philippians 4:6–8 KJV 1900
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
In this pandemic times there is so much fear been spread around that many are displaying mental health issues. Sadly many of the people spreading the fear are Christians who don’t have the right view of God.
This fear brings anxiety:
Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe.
Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life especially in the present climate. For example, you may feel worried and anxious about sitting an exam, or having a medical test or job interview. During times like these, feeling anxious can be perfectly normal.
But some times you may find it hard to control your worries. The feelings of anxiety are more constant and often affect your daily life and one anxious thought is only replaced by another.
Can I suggest that you will need the the peace that only Jesus can give.
Paul in his letters many times blessed the people he was writing to with the Peace of God:
1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV 1900
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV 1900
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Colossians 3:15 KJV 1900
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Romans 14:19 KJV 1900
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Anxiety is at the root of many conditions such as those having panic disorder, phobias, agoraphobia or claustrophobia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety disorder (social phobia).
Then there are those suffering from Generalised Anxiety Disorder, which is more a long term condition that affects suffers psychologically and or physically.
The peace i am speaking about today is not an illusion or something we have to conjured up in our minds it is real. Paul experienced the peace of Jesus that is why he passed it onto others in the form of a greeting in his letters.

What is the peace of Jesus That passes all understanding?

I have said what the peace of Jesus is not. So then what is the peace of Jesus?
It is is the harmony and calmness of body, mind, and spirit that supersedes earthly circumstances. a tranquil state of appreciation and faith when we submit to and trust the commandments of Jesus Christ It requires a mixture of humility and courage to experience God’s peace, seeking beyond the mere abilities of our own understanding.
it is your mouth saying what your heart is experiencing. Some say that i am experiencing the peace of god and can’t sleep or eat because of worry or emotional pain.
It is the peace in the midst of storms of life
John 16:33 KJV 1900
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Mark 14:35–39 KJV 1900
And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
to reduce your blood pressure or chorlestral in this time friend you need the real peace of Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV 1900
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How can I defeat anxiety

In the above verse Paul reveals that Jesus himself is the peace. To have real peace we need to be close to Jesus.
2 Peter 1:2 KJV 1900
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
close in prayer , you bring every area of your life to him in prayer, do just talk to Jesus about the areas you are proud off but the parts you feel your’e a failure in too.
Philippians 4:6 KJV 1900
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
You need to mature in God’s love- How can we mature in God’s love? well that’s a soon coming sermon.
Paul further says to us to keep that state of calmness we must be careful what we allow into our minds.
Philippians 4:8 KJV 1900
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
