Intro -
Jesus was the firstborn among many brethren, a progenitor, a prototype, an example for us to follow. Discipleship is just that, doing what Jesus did and exchanging our way of life for His.
Jesus served..
He washed the disciples’ feet.
Most menial of tasks to be given. A free man wasn’t event allowed to do this service.
He served the one who was going to betray Him. John 13:11
John 13:11 KJV 1900
For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
John 13:14 KJV 1900
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
John 13:17 KJV 1900
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Jesus said these people are called GREAT
Servant Of All
Matthew 20:26–28 KJV 1900
But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Serve until it becomes second nature.
Teach Others Truth
Matthew 5:19 KJV 1900
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Do and Teach
Jesus did and taught
Acts 1:1 KJV 1900
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
